PROLOGUE TO AN ADVENTURE
Have your work read and broadcast by Dylan Thomas fans such as Radio 1 DJ Huw Stephens and be in with a chance to have your writing published. Literature Wales invites all of you budding writers aged between 7 and 25 to enter our Dylan Thomas international competition.
“This competition is a great opportunity for young writers to have their voice heard and to connect with a wider audience. A writer without readers is bread without butter. The winners will get to know how incredible it feels to share their words with people across the nation. Good luck to every entrant!” Elen Caldecott
“The Dylan Thomas creative writing competition is a wonderful opportunity to hone writing skills and have your work read by excellent writers. Don’t enter to win, enter because you’ve written something you’re proud of and want to share. If competing encourages the
creation of a piece that pushes your writing then it has fulfilled its
purpose, and if you also get to work with editors or have the work
broadcast, that’s a real bonus.” Sophie McKeand
“Competitions are a great way to get writing and this one’s really
good because you don’t have to write masses and masses. In fact,
I often think’ less is more’. You don’t have to be top of the class to
win a writing competition – all you’ve got to do is tell the best
story – simple!” Dan Anthony
